True to my nickname Flaimee, I adore tattooing flames, I especially love typography and getting to geek out on handwriting calligraphy for each individual tattoo of that kind.
I also love ornamental and abstract designs that flow with the natural curves and movement of the body.
I love street shop tattooing; I have a deep love of people and being able to work with a client to take their ideas and make it into a reality is the most fulfilling part of my work. I find inspiration quite sporadic and comes from the things around me, but I love melting vintage imagery with a contemporary approach. From pinstriping to pin ups, butterflies to bows to barbed wire.
I was always a creative ratbag. I went to art school, majoring in graphic design, learnt a lot but called it quits on my academic career after 3 years. I continued to hone my skills as a hand poke tattooer and in 2019 the co-owner of Cain Tattoo Chris Amosa saw my work by chance, and I wiggled my foot in the door of the tattoo industry. Under his mentorship and guidance, I began to pave my path in tattooing and truly develop my style as an artist. I spent 4 and a half years at Cain Tattoo, soaking up as much knowledge as possible from the incredible artists I worked alongside of. At the end of 2023 I felt the itch for change and joined the team here at ATS.
